My name is Cherri L. Lewis, I was injured off the job and sustained a serious fall which I broke my fore arm in 1/2
with multiple fractures. I had surgery and then after that required another surgery, now I have but another surgery to have under the same injury. I work as a instructional Teaching Associate and I have an AA degree
I work with Developmentally Disabled Students.I have been on dissability and my Doctor cannot release me. Alot of the functions of my job require me to restrain a child and do lifting as well as many other physical functions. I have every intention of returning to work when I am healed, with the same position
and salary. I have sent signed doctors notes that I am unable to work and I have sent them letters stating that I was looking foward to coming back. I have been a loyal employee and all of my evaluations near perfect as well as stating that I go above and beyond the call of duty. I have been at Meeting Street Center now for 3 years and I am continuing my Education in the fall. I have a daughter who solely depends on me with minimal support from her Father who lives in Florida. He sends me $40.00 a week, which is enforced through the courts. I know that he is not devulging recent changes in his situation and he is hiding his monies through his girlfriends name. I have every belief they want to terminate me. Can they do that?
