What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

My husband who is a truck driver went to work today and was told he could not drive because he is a diabetic and another driver that is a diabetic had an accident and they believe a stoke and died.

He came back home and called back later after his boss came in and was told that they may have to let him go due to his ailment (being a diabetic). The rule book says you cannot drive and take insulin and he doesn't (He take medicine but not insulin). He just had his annual physical with their company doctor was given the green light to drive for 2 years based on his medical stats.

The only health insurance we have is with his job; we really need some advice.

If he passed his DOT physical and meets their regulations, I see a big problem. He should contact the EEOC regarding a possible ADA violation.

Man, that was a lot of acronyms...
