Hello, I'm simply a family man living in California who is considering hiring a nanny for our second child. I know I have to fill out form SS-4 for an EIN, but all these questions regarding business type, dates -- started or ended, business' principal activity... What's the proper response? Am I a sole proprietor, or an "other". And if "other", what other am I?? I'd just like to fill out the form once and get it done "properly." Thanks in advance to any takers.
