What legal actions are possible when an employer hires you with the promise of growth. The particular position I was hired as an Accounting Specialist (I have my MBA and severl years of experience). During the interview and hiring process, it was drilled into me that He saw this position as eventual Accounting Manager and then to CFO. I was also told that there would be significant increases during 6 mos and then this December. During a discussion recently, I was told that I had "Titleitis" and that the stucture of this organizaion did not allow for titles. This is as he reffers to him self consistatnly as CEO. I feel I was enticed and hired due to the lies he told me and I lost, money, benefits and vacation due to the fact or lack thereof. I was also eligable for insurance 3 months ago and after repeated requests, I still have no health ins. or pension contribution that I was also eligable for.

Please help.

Thank You!

If you have no employment contract, you have no case.

If you were purposefully mislead during the recruiting process and offered inducements to accept the job that the employer knew were never going to materialize, you may have a civil claim to bring against the employer. You need to speak with a local attorney.
