My employer is now using a payroll softwear in conjunction with the band for direct deposit. Prior to this he was paying me with a handwritten check from the company account. Money was overpaid to Federal Withholding in error. The employer blames the bank and says that it would be difficult to correct and I should file early to re-coup. How can I get the overpayment?
