Pissed Off Nurse

I was just fired from my job today and when I asked why, all she said was "it is not open for discussion." No reason was given. I am a damn good nurse and my patients love the care they receive.

They gave me my paycheck for the last two weeks but still owe me this week plus over 50 hours of vacation time. They also owe me 4 months worth of expenses, car mileage, cell phone totaling over $500! How long do they have to pay the money they owe?

Also, does anyone know what things can or cannot be said in a job reference?

No state given

The amount of time they have to pay you depends on state law. Each state is different. Perhaps if you give your state, someone can answer your question.

They can say anything that is true in a job reference.
