What is the name of your state? WA

Monday one of my favorite nurses at work, obviously took some drugs, got completely messed up, and was escorted out of the building to a ER to get some drug tests done. I'm sure I'll never see her again and I'm really sad and angry at her for messing up her life like this.
What I'm wondering is what if she has done this before at another hospital? How many chances does an RN get before she loses her license for good? I have heard that in most cases, they send the nurse to rehab and may let her come back, but if she has done this before, and actually took drugs from work, I cant see them letting her back.

There is no way we can answer your questions and the RN is allowed their privacy. The same privacy you expected from your fellow workers when you had to attend rehab. If the nurse returns or if you have contact out of work, by all means be supportive and encourage them to be clean and sober, if that is warrented, there are other reasons for unusual behavior than drugs.
