What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MD

I was fired abruptly by my company supposedly for not performing to their standards even though i believe i was working to the best of my ability. Also they basically spit in my face calling me to a conf call( I worked remotely in MD and the comp is based in WA state as well as MA and NY) and telling me thats it, and gining me 2 weeks severance. This was a low paying job as it is and i dont know what i am going to do.... I was not given any warning, and in addition I feel I was not treated the same as the other employees. My boss also broke a verbal agreement we had regarding Holiday work, but that is besides the point. I would like to know if I have a legal stand against them? Thanks alot.

It does not appear from the information you provided that your firing was illegal.

Your time would be better served looking for a new job.

To successfully keep your job, you have to work to their standards, not yours.
