Texas. My son interviewed for a tech job at a local university. He was verbally promised the job by the person he interviewed with (the supervisor). However, HR offered the job to someone else. When he called the supervisor for clarification, she avoided his calls, didn't return calls, etc. Finally he was told that that was one of two jobs and he was being considered for the second job. Again they hired someone else. When he called he was told that due to a layoff at Dell they found more experienced applicants. Does he have a course of action?
