Hey can or will a potential employer ask my past employer why I was fired? like failed drug test?

I have a feeling I wont like the answer but I need to know.

Yes, they can. Whether they will or not depends on the employer.

What's more, your former employer can answer the question. They may give a prospective employer any information they choose as long as it is true or represents their honest opinion.
