Hello Cindy

Depending upon the time frame in which this took place, any on the job time over "8 hours a day" is considered overtime under existing law in your state.

Overtime is owed to an employee on a 'daily bases' and not on a 'weekly over 40 hour bases.' That was a prior law courtesy of a 'Friends of big business' Republican Governor that was overturned courtesy of the current 'Friends of the worker' Democrat Governor...:D

Check your states Workers Rights Law pertaining to hours and pay at the local states Employment Development office.

You can inform the company of the law, collect the back money owed you. Could just be an 'Oversight' on the part of the company.

However, you may also find yourself on the "About to be Fired" Hit List!
