What is the name of your state? Oregon
I'm in the middle of a lawsuit over wrongful termination which was going good through the depositions. The opposing lawyer has requested medical files from my doctors that include info that discredits me. Now my lawyer wants me to drop the case and has asked for $16,500 for her time spent. I thought if I won I share the amount, if I lost she gets nothing. Now it looks as if I'll lose and have to pay her even though we don't take it to the final?

Nobody here would have any idea what payment agreement you made with your attorney when you retained her services. The majority of attorneys are not compensated on a continency basis. They are compensated on a billable hours basis.
