I was lay'd off in January of this year and the corporation for which I had worked gave me a decent compensation package, or so I thought. My severance check was a month late, and the preferred status for possible re-hire is a sham. The company lists jobs on their "preferred jobs" website and those lay'd off are suppose to have "preferred" consideration. 11 positions for this company which I more than qualify for, and 1 that was exactly what I was doing before I was lay'd off have been posted on Monster.com and NOT on the "preferred job website". Is this action classable as I know several people who have also had issues.
