my daughter was hired by her current employer from a temp service in dec./ last week she told them of a surgery she has scheduled next week and told them that the doctor said she could be out up to 3 weeks. they told her that all they could allow was 1 week and anything after that she would have to resign and then to be hired again would have to go through the temp. service. can they do this? even if she is under doctors care?
