What is the name of your state? PA
i found a new job, gave a 1 week notice at my current job. When they received my notice, they "let me go" the next day stating that they were "giving me a few days off before I started my new job". Am I entitled to be paid for the duration of my notice, for the 4 more days I would've worked?

"Am I entitled to be paid for the duration of my notice, for the 4 more days I would've worked?" No. Your employer has no obligation to pay you beyond the last day actually worked.
