What is the name of your state? Massachusetts

I just found out that my company has decided to outsource my position to a vendor. I was sent a letter a year ago from my company stating that they had extended my position until December 2006. Are they obligated to pay me out until that date?

Not unless the letter reaches the standard of a contract, which is possible but not terribly likely. Show the letter to a local attorney, but don't hold your breath.
