What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NC

If you, a permanent US resident/US citizen, lose your job in the US as you will be replaced by an offshore resource who is cheaper, in terms of cost, and will work here in the US on a temporary working visa provided by the company, will you have a valid grievance against your employer?

It may not be a "wrongful termination", but if a U.S. resident/citizen is replaced by an H-1 Visa holder, there could be problems for the company. In order to GET such a visa, the sponsoring employer has to certify that there is no equally qualified U.S. person that can do the job. I'm just not sure that the employee let go has any recourse against the employer, or if it's only the government that could pursue this.
