MI Employment Drug Screen

I recently recieved a promotion at work, a popular electronics retail outlet, and was required to submit to a drug screen after the promotion. I failed the test, testing positive for marijuana. The Medical Review Officer contacted me to notify me. My employer is not yet aware but will be within one to two days.

What defense do I have that can help me keep my job? What laws and/or guidelines could possibly be in my favor? What should I be aware of?
