My stepfather is in prison after pleading guilty to a felony. He was retired military and was receiving retirement from the Army. I am wondering if he will stop receiving his retirement pay since he has been convicted of a felony? I am concerned because my mother partly relies on that income to survive and provide for her family. My two younger siblings still live at home with her. I personally think that he should be entitled to his retirement since he earned it regardless of what he has done afterward. Also losing his retirement would most hurt some innocent people in all of this (my mother and siblings) . I have tried searching on the internet but have not found anything yet. I would appreciate any advice or pointers to further information regarding this.
