the person that I was previousely employed by is also the person that i am renting my home from. Due to something that happened months ago, I became behind in my rent. I had a 401 k plan with this employer, and have since terminated my employment. They are holding my 401K check to put towards the balsnce of my rent. Is this legal? Please help!!!

I think the Department of Labor would be a good contact to call.. I had a similar situation and they took care of it for me...Call your regional office.
