I work for company A.

This company has a fairly high turn around rate and when the work load dropped to an expected low they fired me based on the workload dropping (I.E. we had a project due to end in november as soon as it ended I was terminated). I am not a contractor and have been with the company a little less than a year. Is this legal and if it is am I eligible for workmans compensation?

thanks

Yes it is legal and no, you do not qualify for workmans compensation. Workmans compensation is for those injured on the job. You should qualify for unemployment benefits though.
