What is the name of your state?Washington
My friend owns a small retail business at a shopping mall in US. He is a Canadian. He commute to US each day to take care of his business, he also hired two other girls as cashier at different shifts. A lot of times, (especially on weekends), he was by himself working alone when neither of the cashier showed up. One morning, the immigration people stopped him at the border and took his visa away, they said he can own and manage a business here, but he can not work here!!!!
How can we distinguish to manage and to work? If he hires a new employee and try to train her to work as a cashier, does he consider to manage or to work. Can he count his sales and money at the end of the day? Can he work when the business hour is over?
He can not come to US any more until the court's final decision. He has social securtiy number, and he pays tax on his wages too.
What should he do in order to work in US.
