Non Compete Agreement

What is the name of your state? ARIZONA

I work in the environmental industry in Arizona. My employer made me sign a boiler plate covent. not to compete.

I worked in the field for 13 years prior and this is the only thing I know how to do. I was under the impression you can not keep someone from working in their "field"? Can this contract be enforced? How would most judges view something like this?
