What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

My friend worked at a spa in Altamonte Springs as a 1099 subcontractor. She stopped working for that business. While there she met several new clients. After leaving she advertised for new clients and mentioned where she worked before in the ad. Her old "Boss" saw the ad and threatened to sue her if she didn't remove the ad. She never signed any non-compete agreement with anyone.

Can she still advertise in that manor?
