in the state of illinois, can i be fired for refusing to sign a non-compete agreement that states that i may not work for a competitor if i quit or get fired for a 2 year period?
i am a restaurant manager and i am on salary and i have worked for the company for 15 years and have broken no other policies. the company does not offer any protection to me or any benefit in exchange for this signing.
