Nebraska--7 months ago, I was let go from my job for reasons of company downsizing. Just a few days ago, the manager sent me an email and specifically asked me back and offered me the job. We met a couple of days ago to discuss salary and hours. Said she would "do the math" and call me back. Got an email from her today--she said she changed her mind and is going to give someone currently employed there a "second chance" to do the job well. Is this illegal, or just unethical?
