I am a non-exempt salaried employee in Ohio.
We are expected to work more than 40 hours a week if and when it is necessary to do our job. This is considered voluntary and told it will have a positive effect on our yearly bonus.
However, now they are imposing assigned Saturdays for us to work.
To me, this changes overtime from voluntary to mandatory.
Is this correct and do they have to pay me directly for mandatory hours worked.
