I am a nurse assistant for a nursing home. I make 8.00 a hour plus a .75 shift difference during the week and 3$ more a hour on the weekend. Our work week is Sunday thru Saturday. If I work overtime one week the last of my work week is on a weekend generally meaning I'm already making 11.75 a hour. When I've received my check I only got paid 12.00 a hour. That was my 8.00 base pay plus time and a half. Is that legal? If I'm already making 11.75(11.00 base pay) shouldn't my overtime be based on that? I have cut my hours and this isn't a problem anymore but others I work with are getting paid that way.
