Can a perspective employer ask your former employer if you are eligible for rehire when verifying past employment? What are the parameters for information that your former employer can provide. According to the Texas Workforce Commission guidelines, a former employer cannot legally "blacklist" a former employee. With this being the case, wouldn't telling potential employers who are attempting to verify employment history that a former employee is not eligible for rehire cause the same result?
