What is the name of your state?arizona

I work for a company that is now under a "receivership". The company has bounced about 90% of their payroll checks and apparently is "closing" it's doors with out paying their employees for the checks that bounced. My question is kind of twofold.

1. Do the employees have any recourse to obtain their back pay and their current owed pay?

2. If they are not really "Closing the doors" rather, selling to someone but not telling anyone about the sale, what are the employees legal rights if any?

Any help in a hurry would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

1. Do the employees have any recourse to obtain their back pay and their current owed pay? They may file complaints with the appropriate States' Departments of Labor.

2. If they are not really "Closing the doors" rather, selling to someone but not telling anyone about the sale, what are the employees legal rights if any? Same as above. If you're asking whether the new owners would have liability for wages due prior to the sale of the company, that would depend upon the terms of the sale.
