What is the name of your state? Virginia

Hi,
I resigned a job a few months ago. At the time I offered a two week notice. My superior informed me to leave immediately. As I was leaving, I was told by this supervisor that 'my attitude was not appreciated' and that I could 'never come back' to that establishment. This person is the general manager (but not owner) of the company.

I recently went back, as a customer, to return an item and to see if this 'ban' was true. I was told by an assistant manager that he had been notified to escort me off property if I came back.

Should I discuss this with the owner of the company? Is it legal to refuse customer service based on personal dislike? I committed no wrong and left of my own free will. This is an establishment that I went too quite frequently before working there...I would like to do so again.

Thank you.

This is no longer an employment-related issue. You may wish to repost this in the consumer law forum. However, I don't know of any legal requirement that a business has to accept every customer that wants to come in to their establishment. And, it brings to mind, why would you want to continue to give this company you business?

You're welcome to discuss it with the owner and see if he'll reverse the manager's decision however be advised that it is perfectly legal for them to have designated you persona non gratis and bar you from their property.
