quitting with notice

I'm at a loss as to what to do. I recently left my job and moved 1300 miles to an other state. I found out that the owner of the business has instructed his accountant to not issue me my final check. I have been unable to reach this person to find out why. What can I do to receive my money. I do know that even if he alters the stores records, the franchise has the info, so I do have a paper trail. Anyone with an answer, please e-mail me at [email protected] Thank You.
