Missouri and Texas

What if somebody was offered a supervisor position out of state, in this case Missouri. The company had it in writing that the new job, salaries, benefits etc will go into effect on June 1, 2005. The person took the job moving right before June. It is now almost the end of June and the company has yet to put the position or higher salaries in effect. They wined and dined the person to move to Missouri from Texas promising this position and moving expenses even buying the house in Texas. Now this person has the same pay as in TX, no supervisor position, they said the promotion was on hold. The person is of Hispanic descent and doesn't know if this may be related. The person has asked for an answer in writing to why all this has happened and has yet to get a response. Is there any legal action that can be taken.

Thank You.

If the person's race was a factor, why would the employer even bother to relocate them? Why wouldn't they just give the job to someone else?

Have a local attorney review any documentation to see whether or not it is binding. We can't tell that from here without seeing them.

thanks for replying.
This person also thinks they may have relocated them so they could show this company what they knew in the field they are in. Use this person without giving a promotion etc. anyways, thanks for replying
