I was relocated by my current employer from another state.
A cash bonus was distributed, and in my offer letter it was stated that, if I were to willfully leave employment within a year I would have to repay the bonus.

I'm wondering if this is binding and whether it is likely to be enforced. The manager I was hired by has long since been laid off by the company and additional layoffs are pending. I'm thinking of quitting to return to my home state. What form would the ramifications likely take (if any). I'm thinking it wouldn't be worth their time to pursue the matter...
