Resumes

Does anyone know what Federal law and Georgia state law supports in terms of how long an employer must retain resumes for employment? (Resumes are from prospective applicants who submit by mail, email, or electronically)

Also, my understanding is that Applications for Employment must be retained for three years? Does that sound correct?
