Yes. Having a published work schedule is not a guarantee you will work those hours. If management wants you to stay longer because they're busy or send you home early because they're not, that's their perogative.
I am a shift manager for taco bell and it is my responsability to keep the labor down and if we aren't busy I have the right to tell an employee not to come in or to leave early. I hope this helps.
