Assuming that you are a high paid executive within the company, then you should consult an attorney who specializes in negotiating severance packages. It may be very difficult to get such an attorney to assist you. Mostly because it is hard to find such attorneys. Try your local bar, or maybe a professional recruiter/headhunter you know (that's just a guess).
If my assumption is incorrect, then contact an attorney who specializes in wrongful termination to get some advice. Ask around, you should be able to get some free advice to do it yourself. Try your local bar assocation or a (non personal injury) referral agency.
