What is the name of your state? TX

Scenario: A company offers voluntary severance packages but you are part of a group that was excluded due to the criticality of your function. The company is acquired later and your job function is terminated; therefore, you are offered a severance package but nothing as good as the voluntary severance packages that were offered earlier which you were excluded from. Do you have grounds to file a suit to get the same package as was originally offered?

Just wondering. Thanks for any advice.

No, not unless you are operating under an enforceable contract that guarantees that everyone gets the same package no matter what.

An employer is not required to offer severance at all; they are permitted to offer different packages in different situations.
