The company I worked for was downsized (nj). Many, not all, received a severance package that states the severance pay and benefits will be lost as soon as a job was found. I was told this has already been fought in court by friends of a friend and found to be not legal. I would stand to lose about 9 months pay + insurance. Is this legal or not and what should I expect after getting a lawyer to fight it?
