I work and live in california. I report to a California office. My company is headquartered in Florida. I was fired. Am I covered by Fla or CA law? For vacation purposes, we were told FL law prevailed and that unused yearly vacation could not be carried over to the next year or bought out. Use it or lose it. In CA an employee cannot lose his vacation time. So which law governs employement issues in this case, or can the company choose whichever state they want for different issues?
