What is the name of your state? Texas and/or North Carolina

I lived and worked for a company based out of Houston, Texas. I temporarily relocated to North Carolina in order for my daughter to receive life saving medical treatment. While in North Carolina, I was fired. Which state laws should be followed for pursuing any type of claims I may have against the previous employer, North Carolina or Texas laws? Thank you.

My response:

Texas. Why do you believe you have a Cause of Action against your former employer?
