If there is an investigation going on, can an employee be suspended without notice?
If and employee is schedule to work, and calls the immediate supervisor requesting for 2-3 hours and the request is denided, but the employee has strong personal reason for not preseting to work and let the supervisor know that he/she would not be able to attend work, can that employee be put on suspension and/or be fire?

Based SOLELY on the information in your post, the employee could legally be suspended or fired. And I would be quite surprised if the employer did anything else.
