My wife switched positions at the company she works for. When she got her first paycheck she found out that they had switched her from hourly to salary. Since she works some over time this will end up being a pay cut. Aren't they at least required to give her some notice that they are switching her to salary?

The Company obviously assumed that she knew the position was salaried or the Company planned on this to cut back on overhead. I suggest that you surf your State's Wage & Hour laws to find out if your wife even falls into the category of salaried in the first place. Usually "professionals" are salaried.
