my husband, who turned 50 on 8/15, was fired without warning, without any demerits after 20+ years with GA company. received
2 weeks severance pay. reason given: owner's opinion is that
there was an ongoing negative attitude when given constructive criticism. we can't figure where that came from; we didn't take
a vacation this year because he didn't want to leave the job site;
a 1+ million dollar electrical contract on a new school, which my
husband was in charge of. is there any legal action we can take?
He was given a 33,000 bonus last Dec., bonus is given every year; and raised 4.50/hr in his base pay. Had not missed one day
of work this year; probably no more than 10 sicks days used in
20 years.

Unless your husband was covered by a collective bargaining agreement (union) or has a sufficient case of age discrimination, there is little that can be done.
