I HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED WITH THIS COMPANY 15 YEARS, AND HAVE BEEN TERMINATED WHILE RECOVERING FROM AN OPERATION. MY DOCTORS NOTE STATED I WOULD BE ABLE TO RETURN TO WORK DECEMBER 26TH. I CALLED DECEMER 21ST, AND WAS TOLD I WAS TERMINATED AS OF DECEMBER 24TH, BECAUSE I DID NOT FOLLOW
THE CORRECT PROCEDURES OR POLICY.

I DID EVERYTHING I COULD TO KEEP THEM INFORMED. I HAVE PROOF. VIA FAXES, AND RECEIPTS. IF ANYTHING, THEY WERE THE ONES TRYING TO AVOID CONTACT WITH ME. IF THEY HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY ILLNESS OR VALIDITY, WHY DIDN'T THEY TRY TO GET IN CONTACT WITH ME? WHY DID I CONTINUE TO GET PAID?
THEY STATED THEY DID NOT RECEIVE ANYTHING FROM ME EXCEPT: THE LAST DOCTORS NOTE, "THE NOTE STATING I WOULD BE ABLE TO RETURN TO WORK DECEMBER 26TH".

I PLEADED MY CASE, BUT BOTTOM LINE WAS: I WAS TERMINATED AFTER 15 YEARS WHILE OUT SICK FOR "NOT FOLLOWING POLICY" WHAT POLICY? WHERE IS THIS POLICY?

CAN AN EMPLOYEE BE TERMINATED IN THE MIDDLE OF A DOCTORS NOTE?
