CALIF WHEN YOU GET FIRED , YOUR EMPLOYER MUST HAVE YOUR FINAL PAY READY ASAP, WHAT IF HE MAKE YOU WAIT TO YOUR REG PAYDAY AT THE END OF THE WEEK (FRI) TO PICK IT UP, & YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN REPLACED . WHAT RECOURSE DO YOU HAVE, DOES HE HAVE TO PAY YOU FOR THE WAITING PERIOD , EVEN THOUGH U HAVE BEEN REPLACED... THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT

Im not sure where you got the information that he had to have your check available immeidately. My understanding is that the check will be available for you on your regular payday, regardless of whether you quit, were fired, retired, or whatever.

Yes California labor law does state that you are to be paid immediatly when terminated but if you read the whole law it also states:
"The requirements of this section shall be deemed satisfied by the
payment of wages for weekly, biweekly, or semimonthly payroll if the
wages are paid not more than seven calendar days following the close
of the payroll period."

File a claim for late wages with the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement. A waiting period penalty may be imposed, although it can be waived:

Boonehead, the cite you reference has to do with regular paydays only, not for terminations. Here is the cite for final paychecks (see Section 201 (a) for discharged employees and Section 202 (a) for voluntary terminations):
