last week i came to work with a few beers on my breath. my boss sent me home and told me to return on monday. when i came in on monday i sat down with the boss and he said i was suspended for a week. when i spoke with him today he sounds like he does not want me to come back. can a suspension be changed to a termination when it is at the end of the suspension?

A suspension can be changed to a termination at any time during a suspension; beginning, end, or middle, unless you are operating under a bona fide, enforceable contract that says otherwise.
