What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pennsylvania,
My question is if I was to be furloughed instead of laid off at work would I still be able to collect Pa. unemployment. My work mates say if you are furloughed in Pa, you are not able to file for unemplolyment. You can only file for unemployment if you are laid off and furloughed does not qualify. Is this correct? Thanks.

Your work mates are incorrect, although there is a one-week waiting period in PA (and most other states). Is this furlough a one-time shot or is it likely to continue intermittently for the foreseeable future?
