What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia

My son-in-law who lives in Jasper, GA north of Atlanta has been given until before the Unemployment office opens tomorrow morning to say whether he will take a job in Panama City, FL or be let go.

They said if he doesn't take the job, he won't receive unemployment benefits. In the past year they have already reduced his salary $7.00 per hour from $23 to $16 the day before his 10th anniversary. If he goes to FL, it will be down to $13 and he will be gone every week and barely (if at all) be able to pay his bills. Also, the gas there and back will be on him to pay.

Is it true that he can't get unemployment if he doesn't accept work 6 1/2 hours in another state away from his wife and 1 year old son?
