Live in Arizona, worked for a non-profit organization for about a year, then was fired when I left for to long a period of time (one month) to attend to my mother who was hospitalized with a heart attack. Stayed to get doctors clearance to bring her back home with me to live. Applied for unemployment when I got back. Denied due to State saying the Non-Profit has never paid any unemployment insurance since their existance. Claiming they had under 4 employees. This is not correct. When I was there they had 5. Does anyone know the law and how I can go about getting paid. Thanks
